With the addition of triple-pane glass to our 100 Series products, we’re increasing access to high-performance options that don’t sacrifice style or cost.
Andersen Windows, the provider of America’s most recognized brand of windows and doors*, today announced the addition of triple-pane glass choices to its 100 Series products.
This new innovation, available on the 100 Series casement, awning, and picture windows, adds high-performance glass technology to one of Andersen’s most affordable product lines, underscoring the company’s commitment to energy efficiency throughout its portfolio. Andersen windows and doors business unit vice president and general manager Jessica Ehrlichmann emphasizes the importance of energy efficiency in their product strategy and commitment to providing sustainable design options for builders and professionals. “With the addition of triple-pane glass to our 100 Series products, we’re increasing access to high-performance options that don’t sacrifice style or cost. This addition to our extensive array of triple-pane alternatives across numerous Andersen product lines provides homeowners and professionals with greater flexibility in meeting energy codes, design goals, and budget requirements.
Key advantages of triple-pane windows include:
- Improved energy efficiency: Three layers of glass restrict heat transfer, keeping houses warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
- Enhanced noise reduction: The additional glass pane and insulating airspaces help to reduce outside noise, resulting in a quieter inside environment.
- Reduced Utility Costs: By reducing the demand for heating and cooling, triple-pane windows can help you save money on energy bills over time.
This new glass option also facilitates compliance with stretch energy regulations, which are increasingly being used by municipalities and states to raise building performance criteria. According to Nate Meyer, product manager at Andersen, triple-pane windows are an excellent choice for both builders and homeowners due to their ability to improve thermal performance and lower energy expenditures. “With seven different glazing options, the new 100 Series triple-pane offering allows clients to fine-tune energy efficiency across a variety of climates. And, like all 100 Series products, windows with triple-pane glass have a sleek, modern appearance created from our Fibrex composite material, which is twice as robust as vinyl and built to last.”
