Landmark PWR pairs CertainTeed Landmark roofing with an 85W solar shingle that can be removed and serviced one shingle at a time.
CertainTeed has launched Landmark PWR, a solar roofing system that pairs its Landmark roofing portfolio with an 85W solar shingle. CertainTeed says the system is designed to make integrated solar easier to install, service, and afford, and that building-integrated solar is now, for the first time, price-competitive with a re-roof plus traditional solar panels.
The system is aimed at contractors, builders, and homeowners who want roof protection and energy generation in one product. CertainTeed says simplified project design and coordination speed installation, and homeowners can choose from a range of roofing materials around the solar array to suit their aesthetic and performance needs.
“The Landmark PWR solar roof represents the next evolution of our integrated roofing and solar strategy,” said Andrew Wickham, director of product management at CertainTeed. “As homeowner demand for energy-focused solutions continues to grow, contractors and builders need products that help them differentiate their offerings while simplifying the path to solar adoption.”
“With Landmark PWR, we’re making it easier than ever for homeowners to invest in a roof that not only protects their home but also powers it,” Wickham added.
