SawStop Introduces New Premium Miter Gauges and Under-Table Cabinets

Introducing SawStop’s new Revolution Miter Gauge, Scale Miter Gauge, and Under Table Cabinets, designed for the workshop and worksite and available from SawStop dealers across the United States and Canada.

SawStop, which is already the largest manufacturer of cabinet saws in North America, now offers five table saw types as well as dozens of accessories such as blades, mobile bases, dust-collection attachments, and more.

“We are obsessed with innovation and our mission to protect and inspire woodworkers,” SawStop CEO Matt Howard, said. “We designed these new accessories with the customer in mind, to help them take their shop, their saw, and their woodworking to a higher level.”

The Revolution Miter Gauge (TSA-RMG, $499) employs patent-pending technology to provide precise angle settings as fine as 1/10° with a single turn of the dial, as well as features that distinguish it from conventional miter gauges:

    • The RMG employs a simple geared dial system to adjust any angle up to 60° either side of zero, with increments of 1°, 1/2°, 1/4°, or 1/10°, and a positive tactile “click” in each notch as you spin the dial. You can also skip the gear system to turn freely.
    • Setting angles with the RMG is as simple as 1, 2, 3: loosen the grip, choose an increment for changing angles, and spin the dial to move the head to the desired position.
    • The dial’s markings correspond to the head’s markings for absolute precision regardless of the angle; popular angle settings include 22-1/2°, 30°, 45°, and 60°.
    • Fits any table saw with a 3/8″x3/4″ miter slot, has adjustable nylon washers to eliminate play in the miter slot, and a removable washer on the front of the bar to fit into T-shaped slots.
    • The RMG secures fence attachments and allows for repeatable stops using a sliding wedge technique. The reversible, telescopic fence works with the miter gauge in both the left and right miter slots, providing similar accuracy and convenience of usage.
    • The tool-free articulating flip stop, with or without a sacrificial fence, can be used to make repeatable cuts up to 37″ in length. A micro-adjuster allows you to fine-tune a crosscut length without having to reposition the flip stop. The flip stop also has mounting holes for adding jigs or latching into the wedge system.
    • The heavy-duty structure includes a steel miter plate with machining tolerances of <.001″, ensuring remarkable precision.

The Scale Miter Gauge (TSA-SMG, $249) delivers can’t-miss accuracy to any table saw, with up to 181 accurate notches and the ability to alter any angle within 1/10°. Other features include:

    • A protractor head having a pointer-and-notch alignment mechanism that locks in precise angles up to 90° on either side of zero, with notches for 22-1/2° on each side.
    • The built-in Vernier scale allows you to fine-tune any angle in 1/10° increments.
    • An 18-inch-long miter bar, designed to fit in conventional 3/8″x3/4″ miter slots, employs six adjustable washers to prevent side-to-side movement while assuring a smooth glide forward and back. A removable T-clip at the head of the bar fits into T-shaped slots.
    • The aluminum fence serves as a huge reference point for accurately holding workpieces, with a telescoping extension that can reach up to 34″ with the flip stop. A T-slot in the front face allows you to attach supplemental wood fences using T-bolts. The scale on top of the fence can be calibrated, allowing for perfect crosscuts without the need to measure and mark your boards.

Use the flip stop to make several cuts at the same setting for identical project components. The flip stop indexes on the fence in 1/32″ increments, and its dual arms can be adjusted separately at varying lengths from the blade or linked together with a rod, all of which can be fine-tuned with a built-in micro-adjuster.

SawStop’s Under Table Cabinet (UTC) comes in two sizes: 18″ (TSA-UTC18, $499) and 32″ (TSA-UTC32, $699) wide. These UTCs are specifically designed to fit under any SawStop cast-iron table saw*, providing plenty of storage for blades, wrenches, and other accessories, ensuring a safer, cleaner workspace.

    • Five drawers are mounted on heavy-duty, 3/4-extension soft-close ball-bearing drawer slides for smooth movement without sagging.
    • One vertical drawer features a perforated panel and hooks for hanging blades and accessories.
    • Four horizontal drawers provide handy storage for a variety of tools and accessories, with soft rubber lining to protect against scratches and damage.
    • A foam block insert allows you to cut out and build unique storage for your tools and accessories.
    • Four 4″ locking and swivel casters provide easy movement.
    • The UHMW top is sturdy, stain- and impact-resistant, and serves as an additional work surface.
    • The sturdy welded-steel design provides longevity.
    • The Under Table Cabinets will not fit under some SawStop table saws with the Floating Dust Collection attachment or the right-side Inline Router Table.
