The jaw now has front gripping serration and a cross groove for retaining smaller, round objects like nails.
The new KNIPEX Cobra ES offers all of the benefits of the original Cobra, but with improved accessibility, more capacity, and additional functionalities.
The previous 10″ variant (87 51 250) has been updated to provide more capacity (from 1 1/4″ to 1 1/2″ capacity on round materials) and improved holding thanks to an upgraded jaw design. The jaw now has front gripping serration and a cross groove for retaining smaller, round objects like nails. Furthermore, the new model’s head is narrower, allowing for easier access to limited locations.
The new 7 1/4″ variant (87 51 180) offers the same features and functionality but is more compact in size. With a jaw capacity of 1 1/4″ on both round and hex materials, the smaller version is an excellent addition to any tradesman’s daily carry array.
“The need for a dependable tool that can easily access those hard-to-reach places on the jobsite is not industry specific,” stated Vice President of Marketing Beverly Richards. She went on: “We believe all tradesmen will benefit from having the Cobra ES in their bag and we’re excited to grow this product family.”
Both variants include the well-known push-button adjustment, with the 7 1/4″ model offering 18 positions and the 10″ model offering 25.
The 10″ Cobra ES was initially manufactured in 2006. Since then, it has been classified as a “specialty” Cobra, mostly used in the automotive and maintenance industries. Both sizes of the Cobra ES will be available soon at select authorized stores across North America.
