Pella Unveils New Innovation – Hidden Screen

The simple window screen appears when you need it and folds away when you don’t, giving homeowners a clear view and greater curb appeal.

Pella Corporation launched its newest product, the Hidden Screen, today, and homeowners greeted the company with joy.

Among notable national window brands, the Concealed Screen is the industry’s first and only hidden screen for vinyl windows, based on decades of screen design and innovation.

The screen, which is user-friendly, appears when you open your window and folds away when you close it.

It is the company’s most recent innovation, following last year’s award-winning debut of the Easy-Slide Operator hardware solution.

“Customers want two things from their screens: keep the bugs out and let the fresh air in,” says Jenn Tuetken, senior design and insights manager at Pella Corporation.

“They don’t want the inconvenience of cleaning or storing the screen, and they definitely don’t want screens to detract from the aesthetic appeal of their home. Hidden Screen takes care of everything.”

Over 87 percent of Pella windows are now sold with screens, and vinyl windows account for more than half of the overall window market.

“When we look across our product portfolio, we are uniquely positioned to deliver an innovative screen option for our mass-market vinyl windows – Pella 250 Series,” Jenn Tuetken explained.

Vinyl windows are popular among homes because they are low-maintenance, energy-efficient, and affordable.

Pella expects the simplicity and crystal-clear views Hidden Screen brings to vinyl windows to be another market favorite.

Pella 250 Series is now available.

The ease of use The Hidden Screen is not visible when the window is closed, providing for a clearer view and more natural light into the home.

Because it is hidden and stored away from the elements when not in use, it remains clean and undamaged.

The Hidden Screen was built to last, and it has been tested to 9,400 cycles, which is equivalent to opening and closing your windows once a day for 25 years.

Hidden Screen is now available for homeowners on Pella 250 Series single-hung, double-hung, or sliding windows at a local Pella showroom, and it will be accessible to professionals in late 2022.

Pella’s Hidden Screen, as well as other goods, may be purchased at pella.com.
