Six new variegated colors give Mastic Cedar Discovery shake and shingle siding the look of naturally weathered cedar.
Cornerstone Building Brands has launched Mastic Cedar Discovery Weathered Tones, six new multi-tone shake and shingle siding colors modeled on the look of cedar that has aged outdoors.
The company credits an updated color process for the deeper variation and dimension of the new shades. That gives homeowners a realistic cedar look without the staining, painting, and upkeep that real wood requires.
The six colors are Weathered Cedar, a blend of warm natural browns; Iron Harbor, a deep gray with layered coastal tones; Harvestwood, a golden brown inspired by freshly milled cedar; Saltstone, a mix of cool grays inspired by naturally faded cedar; Barkwood Brown, a dark brown with natural variation; and Emberwood, a warm brown with subtle reddish undertones.
Each color is offered in three Cedar Discovery profiles: Double 9-inch Hand-Split Shake, Double 7-inch Perfection Shingle, and Triple 5-inch Perfection Shingle. The siding works on a whole home or as an architectural accent.
“Mastic Cedar Discovery siding has long been a trusted choice for homeowners seeking the beauty of real cedar without the ongoing maintenance,” said Zach Duggan, director of product management, siding and accessories. “With Weathered Tones, we’ve taken that promise even further by introducing enhanced color depth, true-to-life wood-inspired character and a curated palette designed to reflect the way homeowners want their homes to look today.”
Matching exterior accessories are available in all six colors. Coordinated Ply Gem PVC trim and Ply Gem mounts, blocks, and vents let builders and remodelers complete the exterior with products from a single manufacturer.
