Their brilliant color blends and specifically constructed granules reduce heat transmission into attics, resulting in excellent Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) ratings.

    Key Features of Dynasty Cool Colors and Shingles:

    • Cool Roof Compliance: The shingles can be used to meet California Title 24, Part 6 and Los Angeles City and County roof reflectance Title requirements with an SRI of 20 or above.
    • Class 3 Impact Resistance Rating: These heavy-duty laminated shingles have a Class 3 impact resistance rating* due to their heavy-weight structure and thick layer of weathering asphalt, which may help homeowners qualify for lower residential insurance costs if given.
    • Armour Zone Technology: The shingles have been developed to withstand severe winds, thanks to the addition of the ArmourZone, and they come with a limited wind resistance warranty of 130 mph. The shingles have tear-resistant reinforced tape on the back to prevent nail pull-through and shingle blow-off. A 1 ¼-inch nailing surface on the front allows correct nail placement, resulting in stronger and faster installation.
    • FastLock Sealant: The sun’s heat activates IKO FastLock sealant strips, which make a strong adhesive to defend against wind-driven rain and water damage.
    • Durability and Protection: Weathering asphalt coats the shingles, which are then capped with protective granules to ensure great longevity and structural integrity.

    Dynasty Cool Colors Plus provide a unique set of performance features. The use of ArmourZone technology improves durability, giving improved resistance to severe winds and impact. This is supplemented with a Class 3 Impact Resistance rating and FastLock Sealant for wind-driven rain protection, assuring long-term, dependable performance in extreme weather situations. Furthermore, the addition of solar reflective granules improves energy efficiency, resulting in a 20+ SRI and making it one of the most adaptable tiles available.
