Behr Paint Company has revealed their much anticipated 2025 Color of the Year: Rumors, a deep and powerful ruby red that will enable DIYers, designers, and paint professionals to create impactful color moments. In fact, about 75% of Americans say they would consider painting a room or wall red, and Rumors is an excellent choice for its distinctive blend of warmth and vibrancy.

New research1 conducted by Behr Paint reveals:
- According to a recent Behr Paint survey, 76% of Americans would consider painting a room or wall in red, with accent walls, bedrooms, and front doors being the most popular choices.
- Americans acknowledge the good influence red can have on their home and believe that it provides a bold but coherent look.
- Homes with red front doors stand out (86%).
- A tiny burst of red in a room grabs their attention (84%).
- A splash of crimson can make a space feel more elegant and coherent (70%).
- The majority of Americans feel energized by the usage of the color red in house design (60%).
- More than half of Americans think that Rumors in the house gives them the vibe of a high-end hotel (54%), and reminds them of a beautiful hospitality place (54%).

1Behr Paint commissioned an online poll of 1,000 general population Americans aged 18 and older. Data is nationally representative in terms of age, gender, race/ethnicity, and area.
