United States Bullet Proofing’s USAW 650 FEMA Window and USAD FEMA Door pair ICC 500 / FEMA storm-shelter performance with UL752 Level 5 rifle resistance in one exterior fenestration assembly.
United States Bullet Proofing (USBP), a Specialty Fenestration Group division that manufactures high-security fenestration, introduced what it describes as the first window and door system designed to the latest multi-threat standards: tornado and hurricane protection under ICC 500-2023 and FEMA P-361-2024, plus UL752 ballistic protection against high-powered rifles.
Intended for the exterior envelope of ICC 500-compliant storm shelters, the USAW 650 FEMA Window and USAD FEMA Door combine severe-weather and ballistic resistance in a single assembly. The company says the system was tested with a 15-pound missile impact at 100 mph, simulating forces associated with wind speeds up to 250 mph, and tested for extreme tornado and hurricane pressures. Frame and glazing meet UL752 Level 5 (11th and 12th Edition) for a 7.62mm full metal jacket NATO round. USBP also notes independent testing of the USAW 650 for air infiltration/exfiltration, water penetration, and thermal performance.

Target applications cited include K-12 schools, police stations, public safety facilities, emergency response centers, government buildings, and other critical infrastructure where storm-shelter and physical-security needs overlap. The line was set to debut at GSX (September 14-16, Atlanta, Booth #3640) and at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas (Innovation Lounge IA-14 and Booth #4026).
