INICIO Multi-Slide Door Delivers Expansive Views, Effortless Movement, and Design-Driven Flexibility

Inspired by European minimalism and built to satisfy US performance standards, this aluminum multi-slide system combines spacious glass, smooth movement, and design freedom for high-end applications.

INICIO, a BMD Manufacturing brand, has introduced its innovative multi-slide door system, a precision-engineered solution for indoor-outdoor living in contemporary home architecture. Inspired by European minimalism and built to satisfy US performance standards, this aluminum multi-slide system combines spacious glass, smooth movement, and design freedom for high-end applications.

As the “bringing the outdoors in” movement continues to influence residential construction, designers are looking for larger openings that allow for more light, air, and uninterrupted vistas. The INICIO multi-slide door is designed to achieve those requirements through clean profiles and smooth operation.

Architectural simplicity designed for impact. The system includes small stiles and rails, a flush sill option, and a silent European carriage system for smooth panel movement. Individual panels can be up to 70 square feet (up to 12 feet in height and 8 feet in width), with endless tracks available for large-format openings.

Custom colors. Split finishes. Maximum flexibility. INICIO provides two standard finishes: clear anodized and black anodized, both of which provide long-lasting architectural beauty. Over 200 powder coat color variations are available for greater design flexibility, with all finishes meeting AAMA 2604 requirements.

The system provides split-finishing, which allows for various colors on the inside and outside of each door. This allows architects to harmonize interior palettes while coordinating with a distinct outside design. Custom color matching is also available upon request.

Saint-Gobain manufactures high-efficiency Low E3 glass for its INICIO multi-slide doors. There are two performance configurations available:

  • Low E3 – CLX 61/29: Ideal for hot regions or direct sunlight. Provides decreased solar heat gain and increased exterior reflectance.
  • Low E3 – CLX 70/33: Provides increased daylight transmission while retaining thermal performance. A good choice for balanced natural illumination.

Both glass options have argon gas fill and triple silver Low E coatings to improve energy economy, UV protection, and clarity.

Secure hardware and integrated screen options AmesburyTruth and HOPPE systems with flush handles and optional keyed exterior access are available in silver, black, or white. Centor retractable screens are available to improve ventilation and comfort while preserving sightlines.

Warranty and availability INICIO multi-slide doors come with a 10-10-5 warranty: 10 years on the finish, 10 years on the glass, and 5 years for the hardware. The product is currently available from authorized dealers.
