LP SmartSide’s new primed 8-inch shake profile has a 5- to 6-inch reveal for a tighter, more detailed traditional exterior.
LP Building Solutions has introduced LP SmartSide Primed 8-inch Brushed Smooth Shake Lap Siding, a smaller-format shake profile with a 5-inch to 6-inch reveal that gives exteriors a tighter, more detailed traditional look.
The new size joins LP’s existing 12-inch SmartSide shake products, which support 7-inch to 10-inch reveals, so builders and homeowners can pick the shake scale that suits the architecture. LP says demand for shake accents remains strong, especially on gables and other focal points.
The siding comes primed, measures 8 inches wide by 4 feet long, and is offered only in the Brushed Smooth texture. Each piece has one straight edge and one staggered edge, and the reversible design lets installers choose either look.
“Many homeowners are drawn to the character and craftsmanship that a smaller shake reveal can create,” said LP Director of Product Management and Innovation Sarah Caperton. “The LP SmartSide 8″ Brushed Smooth Shake gives builders and homeowners another option to achieve that look while delivering the durability and performance they expect from LP SmartSide products.”
The product carries LP’s 5/50-year limited warranty, the same coverage offered on other primed LP SmartSide products.
