A patent-pending, one-piece button-head screw installs Outdoor Accents connectors with a low-profile, finished look.
Simpson Strong-Tie has launched the Outdoor Accents button-head connector screw, a patent-pending, one-piece fastener for installing Outdoor Accents decorative structural connectors on pergolas, patio covers, decks, fences, and other outdoor wood structures.
Its low-profile button head gives exposed connections a tidy, decorative look. Simpson says the single-piece screw is simple to install and gives pros and DIYers a cleaner alternative to the bolt-style look of the current Outdoor Accents structural wood screw with hex head.
The screw is engineered for Outdoor Accents connectors in the Mission Collection and Avant Collection. A cone-shaped profile under the head is sized to fill the connector holes, and a black double-barrier coating provides exterior-grade corrosion resistance.
“Consumers continue to invest in outdoor living spaces that reflect the same attention to detail and design found inside the home,” said Scott Park, director of product development, connectors, lateral, and steel at Simpson Strong-Tie. “The Outdoor Accents button-head connector screw provides a decorative fastening solution that complements the overall look of a project, helping builders and homeowners achieve a refined, modern appearance with details that make a lasting impression.”
