This comprehensive kit includes two sophisticated products—a fast-drying wood hardener that reinforces soft, damaged wood and a heavy-duty epoxy filler with a self-mixing nozzle that prevents shrinkage and cracking—to provide long-lasting and seamless wood repair for a wide range of applications.

DAP, a market leader in home renovation and construction goods, is releasing the Plastic Wood Wood Rot Repair Kit, an excellent option for addressing one of the most common consumer complaints, wood rot damage, with ease and precision.

“At DAP, we are dedicated to developing innovative solutions that make home repairs easier and more efficient. Raquel Beckett, Product Marketing Director at DAP, stated, “The Wood Rot Repair Kit provides a comprehensive, user-friendly approach to restoring damaged wood, ensuring long-lasting, professional-quality results.”

With the new Wood Rot Repair Kit, repairing wood damage is quick and easy in five steps: remove the rotted wood, apply the wood hardener, fill with epoxy, then sand and paint for a perfect finish. The repair package comprises:

  • Plastic Wood Wood Hardener – a high-quality latex-based solution that seals and reinforces soft wood fibers, allowing for easy repair using wood filler or putty. It can be easily applied with a brush to windows, trim, frames, and doors. Cleanup is simple with simply water, and it dries clear in 30 minutes. Once dried, it can be sanded and painted, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
  • Plastic Wood Epoxy Filler – This versatile two-part epoxy, designed for wood restoration, is easy to use and sag-resistant, making it excellent for vertical, horizontal, and overhead surface repairs. This adaptable epoxy is the first and only self-mixing wood filler epoxy available in the market. It is exceptionally resistant to shrinking and cracking, laying the groundwork for nails and screws. With a generous working duration of 20 minutes, it allows for precise shaping and molding. Once fully dried, the epoxy is readily sanded, cut, planed, drilled, nailed, screwed, and painted, making it suitable for a variety of interior and outdoor tasks.

“The combination of our high-quality wood hardener and heavy-duty epoxy filler makes this kit a game changer and a money saving for homeowners who don’t want to replace all of their rotting wood. Professionals and homeowners alike can now approach wood damage with confidence, knowing they’re utilizing a kit developed to strengthen and restore wood,” Beckett noted.

DAP’s Plastic Wood Wood Rot Repair Kit is available at your local Menard’s store or online. The Plastic Wood Wood Hardener and Plastic Wood Epoxy Filler are also available individually.
