Aleddra’s 2-in-1 Emergency LED T8 and T5 Tubes are Used in Hospitals to Provide Instant Emergency Lighting

Aleddra’s Gen4 Emergency LED T8 and T5 Tubes are NEW additions to the emergency lighting products available to medical facilities throughout the United States.

All hospital facilities require emergency lighting, but the only solutions available so far are backup power generators and standard “non-attractive” emergency light fixtures.

During a power outage, it takes 4 to 8 seconds for the generators to start and the emergency circuit light to illuminate.

Backup generators have a fixed capacity and power a fixed number of lights and equipment, so they are not scalable for adding more emergency light fixtures.

Today, hospital facility and physical plant managers can quickly and easily install a NEW type of Automatic Self-Test (30 seconds monthly & 90 minutes annually) and Self-Diagnostic (notifies customer when tubes are in test mode and when they need to be replaced) emergency lighting in all of their facilities.

Furthermore, by eliminating monthly audits, the Self-Testing and Self-Diagnostic features will save the facility time and money.

The Gen4 EM T8 and T5 emergency tubes function similarly to a standard LED tube in that they can be turned on and off, and when power is interrupted, they enter an emergency mode.

The internal lithium battery powers the emergency lighting for 90 minutes. The Aleddra G4 tubes eliminate the 4 to 8 second delay and can be installed in areas where additional emergency lighting is required.

“We are delighted to see large number of hospitals using our Gen4 Emergency T8 and T5 tubes,” says Matthew Maa, VP Aleddra.

“Because operation rooms are mission-critical, they always begin the deployment with them. Following that, the facilities managers discover that the Gen4 EM T8 does not consume any backup generator load and can thus be used anywhere in the hospital. Then they started upgrading the emergency lighting equipment with Gen4 EM T8 in places like hallways, stairwells, and offices. The fact that the Gen4 EM T8 can perform the 30-second monthly and 90-minute annual audit tests completely automatically, without any manual intervention, tipped the scales. This means they can complete their audit of emergency lighting equipment without spending any labor. That will save their lives.”

Key Features of Gen4 EM T8 and T5 Emergency LED Tubes are:

    • Automatically Self-Testing: (30) second monthly test and (90) minute annually test.
    • Self-Diagnosis with Flashing Indicator: This feature informs the user that the tube is in test mode (the LED light on the end cap slowly flashes) and that it is time to replace the tube.
    • Easy to install in existing light fixtures.
    • Eliminates costly monthly and annual audits.
    • Testing Button allows the tubes to be tested manually.

Aleddra offers the Gen3 Plus EM T8, which has all of the features of the G4 but is for ALWAYS ON applications, in addition to the Gen4 EM T8 and T5, which are used for ON/OFF applications (hallways and stairwells).
