Viega North America, based in Broomfield, Colo., announced Cleaned and Bagged on Oct. 12, 2026, a new range of press fittings and valves that are cleaned to oxygen-service requirements and sealed one by one for high-purity piping.
The line is designed for contractors, engineers and facility teams working on high-purity systems. Like other Viega press systems, Cleaned and Bagged installs flame-free with no hot work, and the components are compatible with existing Viega press tools. Viega says the parts carry an industry-leading warranty.
The products are cleaned to Cleaned for Oxygen Service (CFOS) requirements. They also support applications beyond the usual scope of CFOS, including laboratory gases and other high-purity systems. Viega’s cleaning targets particles, hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), silicone, salts, chlorides, fibers and corrosion products.
After cleaning, every fitting and valve is inspected and sealed in its own package inside a controlled space that meets ISO Class 8 cleanliness or better. The individual packaging protects components from contamination during transport, storage and jobsite handling until installation.
Target applications include pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor and microelectronics facilities, research laboratories, advanced and precision manufacturing, industrial gas distribution and lithium battery manufacturing. The systems support purity levels up to 6N (99.9999%). Referenced cleaning standards include ASTM G93, CGA G-4.1, CGA G-7.1, MSS SP-138 and ISO 8573. The line is not for use with medical gas systems (NFPA 99) or FDA food-contact applications.
“We designed Cleaned and Bagged as a scalable extension of our proven press systems,” said Lars Erkelenz, Vice President, Product Management, Viega North America. “It gives contractors and engineers access to components prepared for controlled environments without sacrificing the speed, consistency and confidence they expect from Viega press technology.”
Erkelenz continued, “By managing the cleaning, inspection and packaging process, Viega gives customers greater control and confidence in every component, compared with fittings cleaned on-site or after purchase. And because they’re compatible with existing Viega press tools, contractors can use the same crews and familiar installation process to help reduce labor requirements and schedule risk in demanding project environments.”
Key features include:
- Cleaned to Cleaned for Oxygen Service (CFOS) requirements
- Individually sealed in an ISO Class 8 or better environment
- Supports purity levels up to 6N (99.9999%)
- Flame-free press installation with existing Viega press tools
- Not for NFPA 99 medical gas or FDA food-contact use
