This medium voltage switchgear solution, designed for critical power systems and heavy industrial application, provides the safety, performance, and durability that Spike customers have come to expect—now with extended capabilities up to 38kV.
Spike Electric Controls, a trusted leader in custom-engineered power distribution equipment, is pleased to announce the release of its most recent product, the 38kV Metal-Clad Switchgear. This medium voltage switchgear solution, designed for critical power systems and heavy industrial application, provides the safety, performance, and durability that Spike customers have come to expect—now with extended capabilities up to 38kV.
Spike’s 38kV Metal-Clad Switchgear is engineered to withstand harsh conditions in industries such as oil and gas, utilities, petrochemicals, water treatment, and energy infrastructure. Each unit is built with tough steel frames, insulated barriers, and factory-tested components that exceed rigorous ANSI/IEEE standards for operational safety and electrical performance.
“This is a significant advancement for our product line,” stated Francisco Gomez, Vice President of Spike Electric Controls. “Customers needed a robust, scalable 38kV solution that can withstand harsh conditions—and we delivered it with speed, service, and Spike quality.”
Product highlights:
- Rated up to 38kV, with combinations up to 3000A and 40kA of symmetrical interrupting capacity.
- Fully enclosed, metal-clad construction for increased isolation and operational safety.
- Available in both indoor and outdoor NEMA variants.
- Custom layouts include feeders, main-tie-mains, main-breakers, and double-ended arrangements.
- Compatible with protective relays, PLC systems, battery backup, and remote monitoring.
- Factory-tested and prewired for quick deployment and minimal field installation time.
Each assembly is made in Spike’s UL-certified, ISO 9001-compliant plant in Houston, Texas, and is backed by Spike’s commitment to timely service, technical competence, and field support.
