Werner, the world leader in ladders and a maker of climbing tools and fall protection equipment, announced the release of two new ladder innovations: more multi-functional LOCKTOP ladder tops for Werner fiberglass step ladders and a first-of-its-kind LOCK-IN Tool Bag.
Both designs provide one-of-a-kind, inventive options for ladder storage both on and off the ladder. According to customer feedback and recent survey results, customers believe it is critical for each instrument to have its own allocated storage place on the ladder. These two new devices were created for electricians, carpenters, HVAC technicians, commercial contractors, and facility managers who require safe, secure storage that reduces trips up and down the ladder.

Added Functionality Aligns with Professional Preferences
Werner LOCKTOP ladder tops were designed with commercial contractors and speciality trades in mind and are included in the NXT, 6200, and 6300 line of Fiberglass Step Ladders. The NXT ladders have improved tops with storage compartments and inserts for a wide range of professional instruments, such as hand tools, paint cans and trays, a tape measure, drills, and more. The center insert was specifically designed to hold impact drivers, which are among the most commonly used power tools. The new ladder tops also include carabiner holes for tethering tools to the ladder top, limiting the possibility of equipment falling.
The Fiberglass Step ladders 6200 and 6300 series also offer sophisticated ladder tops that have all of the features of the NXT Series, as well as a metal mounting plate for magnetic attachments such as lights and levels, as well as extra carabiner holes to tether more tools to the ladder. These additional improvements can improve safety by minimizing the possibility of dropped tools, boosting visibility with lighting accessories, and increasing productivity by lowering the number of trips up and down the ladder.
These new innovative ladder tops incorporate the duty rating to aid in the selection of the best ladder for the individual application needs.
New First of Its Kind: LOCK-IN Tool Bag: Safely Secures to Ladder Top
The Werner Model ACBAG15 LOCK-IN Tool Bag is designed for professionals who need quick access to a wide range of tools. It gives optimum access and flexibility for the way contractors work. The unique LOCK-IN technology effortlessly latches into the newly updated LOCKTOP and is backwards compatible with our Fiberglass Step Ladder LOCKTOPS dating back more than a decade. The tool bag enables industrial users to safely store and access a variety of tools, fittings, and parts required on top of the ladder, just as they would when working on the ground.
The redesigned tool bag has a shoulder strap for added security and three points of contact while climbing. It is made of water-resistant material to withstand hard jobsite conditions, and the internal and external pockets include velcro closures for additional tool or personal item storage. A removable partition for exact tool or fitting organization, a tool storage clip for extra storage outside the bag, and a robust anti-slip plastic bottom are all highlights.
