The Husqvarna Group Introduces the Batteries MADSAW Dielectric Pole Saw

Husqvarna’s new 525iDEPS MADSAW dielectric pole saw raises the bar in terms of safety and versatility for utility workers and tree care professionals.

The 525iDEPS is the first and only dielectric battery-powered pole saw individually evaluated to fulfill OSHA standard 1910.269. It is designed to aid operator safety when working near live wires and introduce new levels of versatility.

“The 525iDEPS is an incredibly versatile purpose-built tool in an ultra-compact package,” stated Carlos Haddad, Vice President of North America, Professional Products. “No other saw on the market delivers the same performance and versatility as the 525iDEPS MADSAW.”

According to OSHA rules, the minimum approach distance (MAD) is the closest distance a qualified employee may approach an electrified conductor or object. The Husqvarna MADSAW immediately addresses this criterion and lets operators to complete tasks quickly. Its non-conductive, lightweight fiberglass shaft provides plenty of reach while keeping safe distances.

The 525iDEPS provides precision and performance in the air, in a bucket, in a tree, or from the ground. Interchangeable shaft lengths of 9′ or 12.5′ allow operators to access difficult-to-reach regions while minimizing repositioning and climbing aloft. The dielectric midsection detaches rapidly from the cutting head and powerhead for easy storage in the vehicle and shop. Service and replacement are additionally simplified with removable segments and toolless couplers.

The battery-powered 525iDEPS’s quiet and strong brushless motor, combined with a Husqvarna X-Cut chain on a 12-inch bar, offers high, double-sided cutting capacity, balanced operation, and excellent performance. Users of the 525iDEPS can rely on a quality cut and peace of mind whether they are operating on the ground, in a fixed position aloft, or in a lift-bucket. When the job is finished, the MADSAW may be readily stored for transport and storage.

The 525iDEPS MADSAW is available through authorized dealers and online. Those who currently own Husqvarna’s ground-breaking gas-powered MADSAW but want to switch to batteries will be able to do so with the new 525i powerhead, which will be sold separately.
