Husqvarna Group introduces the 525i Battery Series

Husqvarna is driving forward with the introduction of its 525i Battery Series product range, which includes a powerful new string trimmer and two dedicated edgers designed to achieve high-precision results while meeting the demands of daily use.

All 525i Batteries Series models include a Husqvarna E-Torq motor, which provides the power required to match the performance of 25cc petrol equivalents while outperforming them in torque. A metal skid plate over the gearbox shields the machine from everyday wear and tear as well as accidental drops. Each machine incorporates ergonomically placed rubber grips for a more comfortable workplace, ensuring all-day comfort. Furthermore, the series is IPX4 certified for weather resistance, allowing customers to utilize the equipment rain or shine.

The Husqvarna 525i Battery Series product line includes the following items:

525iLST (String Trimmer): The 525iLST String Trimmer is a tough, high-performance professional battery lawn trimmer that is lightweight, well-balanced, and cuts cleanly and precisely. This trimmer is designed for continuous usage and has the largest-in-class* 18.1″ cutting diameter. It also has a metal skid plate to protect the engine from daily wear and tear.

525iES (Straight-shaft Edger): The 525iES Straight-shaft Edger has enough strength to rip through tougher dirt (with a high clay content) and grass on a daily basis without becoming clogged. Landscapers may cut clean, crisp lines in the grass and dirt against strong perimeters with the 525iES’s 8″ standard steel blade. This battery edger has a comfortable loop handle and an easy-to-use keypad, as well as a 3-speed mode and a battery status indication.

525iECS (Curved-shaft Edger): The 525iECS Curved-shaft Edger has a blade speed that is nearly twice that of a straight edger, making it an ideal tool for lighter-duty edging. The offset shape also allows the operator to see the blade easier while deflecting debris.

“With noise and emission regulations rapidly changing in North America, we are delivering a portfolio of battery-powered handheld tools that not only meet these new requirements, but also meet the performance of petrol products landscapers depend on,” Husqvarna Group Vice President of North America, Professional Products, Carlos Haddad, stated. “Husqvarna is ushering in the future of professional outdoor maintenance equipment with battery equipment and a suite of solutions to charge, store and transport the batteries needed to power a landscaper’s fleet of tools.”

In addition to the groundbreaking 525i Series tool line, Husqvarna is releasing an overnight charging rail to assist landscape and greenspace professionals in charging up to eight batteries in parallel on a single connection. The Husqvarna 40-C80 Charging Rail slowly charges batteries overnight, allowing the batteries to last longer. To keep workspaces tidy and orderly, the charging rail can easily be put on a workshop or trailer wall.
