IKO, a global leader in the roofing, waterproofing, and insulation industries for residential and commercial markets, unveiled the updated Roof-Fast Cap and Base for the United States and Canada. The Low-Slope Roofing Components were modified with direct feedback from IKO’s valued customers.

Roof-Fast Cap and Base now come in full squares rather than small square rolls, allowing roofers to measure and estimate materials more easily for calculations and application. In addition, the product is now wrapped in a band rather than a box or bag, which reduces packaging waste and simplifies handling. To further serve IKO’s wide customer base, Roof-Fast Cap and Base now includes multilingual instructions in six languages: English, French, Spanish, Punjabi, Chinese (Simplified), and Polish. This ensures that customers receive clear and understandable information in the language they are most familiar with.
Low-slope roofs provide particular challenges, which IKO Roof-Fast Low-Slope Roofing Components are designed to effectively meet. Roof-Fast Cap and Base work together to provide a strong, multilayer roofing system that provides maximum leak prevention and durability. This makes them a good choice for both new and renovated low-slope roofs, particularly in climates prone to prolonged, wind-driven rain or ice dams. Roof-Fast is ideal for both residential and commercial installations, providing the dependability required to manage a wide range of roofing situations.
The IKO Roof-Fast Base is made of a robust, reinforcing mat of nonwoven glass fibers that has been treated and penetrated with polymer-modified asphalt. It is a self-adhesive product with the option of using a self-adhered installation method that may be simply cold-applied or a mechanical installation approach.
IKO Roof-Fast Cap is a self-adhering, polymer-modified cap sheet made of a long-lasting, reinforcing mat of nonwoven glass fibers that has been coated and penetrated before being applied to a mineral surface. It comes in a variety of appealing hues, including White, Dual Brown, Slate Grey, Driftwood, and Black, and can be used alone or in conjunction with the Roof-Fast Base.
