Trimble and ABI GmbH Provide Trimble Ready Piling and Drilling Machines

Trimble and ABI Maschinenfabrik und Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH have announced the availability of Trimble Ready factory options for new ABI MOBILRAM-Systems and DELMAG Drill Rigs.

Shipped from the factory, ABI piling and drilling machines will be ready for the installation of the Trimble Groundworks Machine Control System, which can significantly reduce the cost and complexity of the installation for the contractor.

When purchasing an ABI MOBILRAM-System or DELMAG Drill Rig, the option of installing a Trimble Groundworks base kit is now available. This base kit includes mounting hardware, brackets, and an integrated wiring harness for a more seamless Trimble Groundworks installation.

“Trimble provides our customers with the ability to map the entire construction process, from planning to quality control. The pile grid, for example, does not have to be measured in place on construction sites “Tobias Schmidt, ABI’s head of control engineering electrics stated.

“The direct communication with the ABI control system, which allows the sensor technology available on the machines to be integrated, is a significant advantage of the Trimble Ready solution. The machine already has the necessary mounting options. This significantly reduces the costs associated with equipping a Trimble system.”

“Both Trimble and ABI are committed to providing innovative solutions for drilling and piling operations,” said Kevin Garcia, Trimble Civil Construction’s general manager.

“Trimble Groundworks technology on ABI foundation machines can provide exceptional quality while increasing productivity and keeping our customers safer on the job. The goal of both companies is to improve the efficiency of the drilling and piling workflow.”

Trimble Groundworks is a dependable and efficient machine control solution that enables contractors to drill and pile quickly, safely, and accurately.

Trimble Groundworks is a solution in the Trimble Connected Site portfolio that offers a high level of workflow and process integration from the design phase to the finished project.

Trimble software in the office and Trimble Groundworks in the field can be integrated to improve drilling and piling operations by wirelessly syncing data to reduce site visits and provide a single source of truth.
