Complete the System with the Latest Additions to the Viega Valve Portfolio

Customers can use Viega to press everything from PEX in residential systems to copper and carbon steel in commercial settings, as well as stainless steel in industrial piping systems, all with one tool.

Viega North America has expanded its product line by adding globe, wafer check, and butterfly valves to its MegaPress and ProPress portfolios.

Viega press technology works with a wide variety of materials, applications, and combinations. These new products are seamlessly integrated into Viega’s vast product offering. Customers can use Viega to press everything from PEX in residential systems to copper and carbon steel in commercial settings, as well as stainless steel in industrial piping systems, all with one tool. Viega MegaPress, ProPress, and PureFlow systems are all authorized for over 2,500 applications, offering a solution for practically every plumbing need four inches or less.

“Viega provides customers with a comprehensive ecosystem that is built to work seamlessly. Viega solutions simplify the installation procedure, increasing speed and efficiency. “Pressing these valves and fittings with a single tool saves time and money, while also ensuring that plumbing systems are secure and reliable,” stated John Browning, Director of Product Management.

    The new products launched include:

    • Mega Press 316 Globe Valves
    • ProPress and MegaPress Butterfly Valves
    • ProPress and MegaPress Wafer Check Valves

The MegaPress 316 Globe Valve is the first globe valve on the market with IPS press ends and EPDM or FKM sealing materials. This globe valve, available in sizes ½″ – 2″, allows for accurate flow regulation and throttling of fluids. Model 5185.1 with EPDM sealing element is NSF-61 approved for potable water systems. Looking to use this in more difficult situations? Model 5985.1 has FKM sealing elements, a 316 stainless steel body, and components for exceptional corrosion resistance, increasing the valve’s lifetime.

The ProPress and MegaPress Butterfly Valves, available in sizes 2 ½-4″, enhance your system with proven Viega press technology. These butterfly valves, which are NSF-61 approved, enable reliable flow separation and control. Model 2979.8ZL is made of ductile iron and has a long-lasting epoxy coating, making it less expensive than carbon steel but with higher pressure and temperature ratings than cast iron. The Model 5179.8 has a 316 stainless steel body, which provides outstanding corrosion resistance against even the toughest media. Both models are fitted with an EPDM seal. These butterfly valves are specifically designed for use with ProPress and MegaPress flange adapters.

The ProPress and MegaPress Wafer Check Valves are designed to prevent reverse flow. These valves, available in sizes 2 ½″ – 4″, have a dual-disk design that streamlines the flow route, reduces pressure drops, and increases energy efficiency. Models 2974.3XL and 5174XL have an NSF-61 rating, making them perfect for building potable water systems with simplicity. Model 5974XL includes FKM sealing elements for more demanding applications. This tiny wafer check valve is designed specifically for use with ProPress and MegaPress flange adapters.
