Fiberon Wildwood Composite Cladding has Been Named a Green Builder Sustainable Product of the Year for 2022

Fiberon, a market leader in wood-alternative cladding, is pleased to announce that its Wildwood PE composite cladding has been named one of Green Builder’s Top 50 Sustainable Products of the Year.

Green Builder is the leading voice in sustainable construction, and the Top 50 list includes the most innovative products on the market today that make buildings more resilient, intelligent, efficient, healthy, and safe.

Wildwood PE composite cladding is made of 94 percent recycled wood fiber and plastic content that would otherwise end up in landfills or incinerators.

It is ideal for architects seeking a long-lasting, maintenance-free, and sustainable alternative to traditional wood cladding, providing a solution for projects requiring the beauty of the wood while also providing long-term warranted performance.

“Sustainability has always been important to Fiberon as a company, and we continuously look for ways to be better stewards of the environment,” said Mark Ayers, Fiberon’s senior vice president of marketing and product development.

“This award recognizes our dedication to creating beautiful, high-performance building products that we can all be proud of. We hope to continue providing sustainably produced products for many years to come.”

For added design flexibility, Wildwood has an open-joint profile and is available in a variety of board lengths and widths.

It also has a long-lasting composite core that is resistant to rotting, cracking, insects, and decay. It cuts and installs similarly to real wood but without the hassle, and it does not require the same staining and painting maintenance that wood does.

Wildwood comes in two nature-inspired collections with rich colors, realistic textures, and the organic warmth and beauty of real wood.
