Time-saving Troubleshooting Features of SureTrace Pro Circuit Tracer
The SureTrace Pro transmitter combines the characteristics of many meters into a single, powerful instrument. It monitors AC amperages and voltages from 24-600V AC and 12-600V DC, confirms DC polarity, checks receptacle wiring, and runs patent-pending integrated continuity tests. The IDEAL Electrical SureTrace line has unique features such as a built-in continuity tester and precise voltage measurements. This transmitter eliminates the need to carry a secondary meter, providing a handy, all-in-one solution that allows electricians to work more successfully on the job.
Other innovative features of the SureTrace Pro transmitter and receiver include:
- Premium OLED Rotating Displays: Electricians can easily and clearly observe their readings thanks to two high-visibility and patent-pending displays – a primary display and a TightSight secondary display on the receiver’s bottom. Both displays are bright, 90°-rotating OLED screens that auto-adjust, allowing for comfortable viewing of readings at problematic angles and locations, such as crowded panels.
- User-Friendly Features & Customization: The receiver displays the analog and digital signal strengths, as well as the battery and sensitivity levels. It also has an NCVT, an integrated work light, and volume and mute controls. The work light allows electricians to continue tracing on dark construction sites, while the mute button silences sound indications in noise-sensitive regions.
- Convenient CertainCircuit Technology: The SureTrace Pro also includes IDEAL Electrical’s signature CertainCircuit technology. CertainCircuit makes breaker detection a one-person process by employing visible indicators on the transmitter and receiver. Once the relevant breaker has been located and tripped, the transmitter detects the lack of power and sends a separate signal to the receiver at the panel to confirm that the correct circuit has been de-energized.
- Rugged Industrial Design: The SureTrace Pro transmitter and receiver are designed to withstand the worst jobsite conditions, with a sturdy, overmolded casing for a solid grip and drop protection up to 6.6 feet (2 meters).
Inductive/Sensing Clamp for Non-Contact Tracing and Amperage Readings
The SureTrace Pro kit now contains a new Inductive/Sensing Clamp, which allows for non-contact circuit tracing. The clamp generates a tracing signal by clamping around wires at any point along their length – perfect for applications where conductors are inaccessible or direct circuit connections are not feasible or safe.
The clamp is rated CAT III 600V and provides reliable AC amperage measurements of up to 600A. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is built right into the clamp shell, eliminating the need for additional battery packs or connections. The Inductive/Sensing Clamp also has twin high-visibility displays, including the unique TightSight secondary display, which makes readings simple to see in any posture or lighting condition. The clamp is backward compatible with all prior IDEAL Electrical SureTrace circuit tracers.
