Through the use of color, Saturn allows design professionals to align the lighting more closely with the building’s interior design.
Kenall’s new MedMaster and Millenium Saturn series offer a sleek modern design for behavioral health and heavy abuse environments while maintaining robust endurance. This unique family includes synchronous or dual light engines, which allow control of the inner and outer light rings separately or simultaneously. Both fixtures, which provide limited spectrum static color and a number of color shifting options, can dynamically illuminate the room based on customer preference across a wide range of applications.
Saturn’s vast color palette is suitable for a variety of applications, including navigation and branding, mood creation, and circadian support, all while complementing the space’s design. The motion sensor (MS) option is unique to this new series. When the switchable perimeter and occupancy detection option is chosen, the center and perimeter are factory set to white. When the center detects non-occupancy, it turns off and the perimeter changes to the desired color (amber or red), depending on whether it is intended to be used as a nightlight or to protect wildlife.
According to Patricia Rizzo, product marketing manager for Kenall’s healthcare vertical, “Through the use of color, Saturn allows design professionals to align the lighting more closely with the building’s interior design.” This fascinating new luminaire offers a limitless palette for lighting specifiers to produce a more visually appealing extension of the area. Using the available synchronous or multiple light engines allows complete control, allowing Saturn’s bright rings to bring a subtle to dynamic, but always fashionable, aspect to any lighting scheme.”
