EDCO Products Introduces Perspectives: A Fusion of Strength and Modern Design

Perspectives, which combines modern design technology, a refined, contemporary style, and steel durability, provides architects, designers, and builders with a new approach to external cladding for both residential and commercial uses.

EDCO Products, a pioneer in novel building materials, is pleased to announce the introduction of Perspectives, a premium, design-forward steel architectural building solution designed to broaden the creative possibilities in modern architecture. Perspectives, which combines modern design technology, a refined, contemporary style, and steel durability, provides architects, designers, and builders with a new approach to external cladding for both residential and commercial uses.

The Perspectives line is built around EDCO’s patented RealGrain technology, which is a precisely designed woodgrain design that removes repeating patterns, resulting in an authentic, handcrafted appearance while maintaining steel durability. Perspectives is available in a selected selection of woodgrains and complimentary solid colors, making it suitable for a wide range of architectural styles, from minimalist modern to warm, nature-inspired designs.

“Our goal with Perspectives was to push the boundaries of what steel building solutions can achieve–both visually and functionally,” says Niles Hickman, EDCO Products’ Director of Product Management. “We’ve engineered a product that not only enhances building exteriors with its striking aesthetic but also delivers superior durability and product performance, meeting the demands of today’s architects and builders.”

Innovative Features

Perspectives features various advances that set a new benchmark for steel cladding.

  • RealGrain Aesthetics: A true-to-life woodgrain design with no repeating planks for a unique, natural appearance.
  • Smoothseam Technology: Plank overlaps are nearly imperceptible, resulting in sharp, clean lines and a modern, seamless appearance.
  • VersaLok Installation: The top-down, multi-position lock provides for versatile design with options for either (or both), flush (tight) or small (nickel) gap between planks.
  • Out-of-the-Box Rainscreen Functionality: Integrated, concealed ventilation supports moisture management behind the cladding, protecting the building without sacrificing its design.
  • Most Versatile Product on the Market: Perspectives can be installed horizontally, vertically, or diagonally as siding, as a hidden vent soffit parallel or perpendicular to the wall, or as an interior or exterior accent, making it the most customizable solutions on the market.

Perspectives, made of 26-gauge, non-combustible steel, is extremely durable, withstanding adverse weather conditions such as fire, wind, and impact, and comes with EDCO’s guaranteed lifetime warranty. It is made up to 80% from recycled materials and is totally recyclable, making it a sustainable solution that promotes ecologically responsible building practices.

Perspectives, with its blend of beauty, strength, and sustainability, introduces a new way of thinking about steel siding, soffit, and accents, giving the flexibility and performance that architects and designers require to bring their dreams to life.
