Duro-Last Expands Roofing Solutions with the Introduction of Duro-TECH and Duro-TECH Fleece TPO Product Lines

Both Duro-TECH and Duro-TECH Fleece membranes include Duro-Last’s proprietary anti-wicking, weft-inserted scrim with a density of 9 by 9 threads per inch, an industry first for TPO membranes that eliminates the need for seam sealant during installation.

Duro-Last, the world leader in custom-fabricated single-ply thermoplastic roofing systems, is pleased to announce the extension of its high-quality commercial roofing solutions with the introduction of the Duro-TECH and Duro-TECH Fleece TPO membrane product lines. Duro-Last’s entry into the TPO market complements its premium PVC product line with new cost-effective solutions that meet the company’s high quality, durability, and ease of installation standards.

Both Duro-TECH and Duro-TECH Fleece membranes include Duro-Last’s proprietary anti-wicking, weft-inserted scrim with a density of 9 by 9 threads per inch, an industry first for TPO membranes that eliminates the need for seam sealant during installation. This feature improves installation efficiency by saving contractors time and material costs while providing watertight performance and durability. In addition, each Duro-TECH membrane has the industry’s thickest top film, resulting in a resilient performance layer that can withstand the elements.

Duro-TECH TPO, available in 45, 60, and 80 mil thicknesses, is made in roll widths of 10 inches, 30 inches, 5 feet, and 10 feet – each 100 feet in length — giving contractors a variety of alternatives to fulfill their project requirements.

Duro-TECH Fleece, available in 10 feet by 100 feet rolls, adds an extra layer of performance with its 8 ounce-per-square-yard, needle-punched polypropylene fleece backing. Duro-TECH Fleece comes in three thicknesses: 45 mil (100 mil with fleece backing), 60 mil (115 mil with fleece backing), and 80 mil (135 mil with fleece backing). Each roll has a 2.25-inch selvage edge that allows for more effective hot-air welding to the membrane.

Duro-Last’s president, Darren Schulz, stated, “Expanding our product line to include Duro-TECH and Duro-TECH Fleece TPO is a significant step for us.” “Our commitment to quality and innovation has earned us an industry reputation that we are extremely proud of, and we are now bringing that same level of excellence to TPO. With this introduction, we’re delighted to provide our contractors with more options to fulfill their customers’ demands while retaining the dependability they expect from Duro-Last.”

The Duro-TECH line provides a complete set of compatible, custom-fabricated accessories that simplify installation and provide a seamless, watertight appearance. Duro-Last conducts thorough Quality Assurance inspections on all Duro-TECH TPO membranes to ensure that each installation meets the highest standards. In addition to the 15- and 20-year standard warranties, extra hail and high-wind coverage are offered for added protection.

A whole line of TPO adhesives, including TECH-Bond TPO Bonding Adhesive, TECH-Bond TPO LVOC Bonding Adhesive, and TECH-Bond TPO Spray Adhesive, will be released in conjunction with Duro-TECH and Duro-TECH Fleece membranes. These technologies significantly boost installation efficiency and support the integrity of the Duro-TECH roofing system.
