Kojo Introduces AI-Powered Kojo Intelligence Layer to Improve Contractors’ End-to-End Materials Procurement Process

Kojo, the leading materials and inventory management platform in the construction sector, has announced the release of its AI-powered Kojo Intelligence Layer.

The new technology gives significant analysis and insight, representing a quantum leap ahead in the end-to-end materials procurement process, allowing contractors to make better decisions about which materials to purchase and from whom.

The Kojo Intelligence Layer assists contractors in quickly finding project-appropriate materials at optimal rates by utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as OpenAI’s GPT-4 and Hugging Face transformer models, as well as comprehensive statistical and machine learning methodologies. Kojo streamlines the hard work of material procurement by saving time, cutting costs, and improving project outcomes by leveraging this large amount of intelligent data, which is not found with any other materials management firm.

“Materials are up to 40% of construction budgets but until now, contractors lacked the data they needed to make fast and informed sourcing decisions,” Maria Davidson, CEO and founder of Kojo stated. “By adding this AI-powered layer to our platform, we’ve simplified materials sourcing for contractors by helping them answer questions like who has what they need in stock now, how much they’ve paid for an item in the past, and how much of an item did they buy last year, driving smarter decisions. The Kojo Intelligence Layer takes our platform to the next level, allowing contractors to make informed decisions about sourcing the right materials at the right time for the right price.”

Kojo has powered over 10,000 projects to date, saving customers more than $22 million in material orders, assisting them in reducing 90% of task waste, and reducing manual data entry for their teams by 75%. Kojo has been utilized by 14,000 construction professionals in 47 states to manage projects such as hospitals, schools, housing developments, and solar plants.
