STI, a leading provider of firestop, smoke, and sound building materials, has announced the debut of the all-new TTG with Ultra-Sealing Foam.
TTG is a novel building material that eliminates the need for firestop sealants or sprays by allowing contractors to firestop while the wall is built. For over ten years, contractors have utilized the original TTG because it works with any ceiling track, is tested for standard and shaft wall construction, allows for 100% compression and extension, and has been tested in head-of-wall, wall-to-wall, and bottom-of-wall connections. TTG is easily cut to length with scissors or a sharp knife and installed swiftly and without waste.
The sealing foam foundation allows TTG to contour to difficult surfaces such as concrete and compresses to provide a tight seal against sound flanking. Furthermore, the closed-cell foam is designed to limit moisture absorption, which is essential for bottom-of-wall joint applications.
“We are excited to announce the new TTG, otherwise known as Track Top Gasket. The new version of TTG includes a sealing foam base that improves installations on uneven surfaces.
