Tuff-N-Nuff with Rapid-Edge technology is a self-fastening rockshield product with hook-and-loop closure for faster and less expensive installation.
During backfill operations, the product protects pipeline coatings from direct impact.
Tuff-N-Nuff rockshield is made up of small diameter strands of flexible PVC that are woven together to form a porous, non-woven mat that does not trap water against the pipeline.
During the manufacturing process, the strands are bonded together in a controlled, random pattern.
The product is installed in two steps with the new Rapid-Edge installation feature: the roll is placed over the pipe, then the edges are simply pressed together to continuously secure the pipe.
Tuff-N-Nuff with Rapid-Edge is manufactured in the United States using the same long-lasting formula as its namesake predecessor, which has been on the market for over 30 years.
