Sto Introduces Thin Brick Masonry Veneer Rainscreen System

StoVentec, a new product designed specifically for thin brick masonry veneer facades, is being added to Sto Corp.’s ventilated rain-screen cladding system offering.

This new venture into thin brick support, according to the manufacturer, is the result of an effort to provide greater design flexibility in its products.

“This is part of our ‘Creativity Begins. Sto Finishes’ initiative,” Sto Corp rainscreen director Larry Hilovsky explained.

“We provide the most comprehensive selection of fully engineered and tested building envelope systems, as well as the widest range of aesthetic options.” Designers understand that they can achieve the desired look without jeopardizing the performance of the building enclosure.”

Sub-construction, continuous insulation, and an air and moisture barrier are all part of the StoVentec system.

The product is currently being tested in its entirety, with a focus on the sheer bond strength of industry-standard thin brick masonry veneer with Sto’s masonry adhesive.

“Customers need to know that the products they’re using will work seamlessly together.” We ensure that they will be providing a complete, tested system,” Karine Galla, senior product manager at Sto, added.
