Tarkett launches 2 New Collections on its Premium Contour LVT

Tarkett, a global leader in creative and sustainable flooring solutions, is expanding its high-performance, premium Contour LVT portfolio with two new design collections: Collaborative and Mindful Maker.

The collections, like other Contour abstract patterns, are created using the company’s high-definition digital printing capabilities, which allow for clearer visual details, longer pattern repeats, and plenty of chances to customize designs with a customer’s own distinctive touches.

“Our latest Contour collections include never-before-seen colors and designs that add artistic warmth to commercial interiors,” remarked Paul Young, Tarkett North America’s senior vice president of product innovation and design.
Collaborative, which was introduced during Design Days in June, is the result of a collaborative mark-making process coordinated by Tarkett’s vice president of design for its commercial business, Omoleye Simmons.

“In creating this collection, our goal was to celebrate hyper collaboration through cooperative artwork,” Simmons said. “We embarked on a hands-on exploration that included mark-making, spraying and brushing watercolor paint, and layering paper. We experimented across design studios, sharing steps in the design process—selecting each others’ creations to merge with our own and offering feedback along the way.”

The collection’s pattern mix adapts spaces to changing needs and accommodates neurodiverse work habits, providing solutions for both busy, collaborative areas and quiet, heads-down zones. In addition to LVT, the collection includes equivalent soft-surface choices that will be available on the market in late October.

The Mindful Maker collection, inspired by people’ innate desire to create, consists of three textural patterns that combine traditional crafting with our modern, digital environment.

“Artistic expression is a vital piece of the human experience. Creating art nourishes the spirit and enhances our well-being in incomparable ways,” Simmons said. “Through creating, we convey ideas and share perspectives, forging meaningful connections with others.”

The Aquarelle pattern in Mindful Maker is inspired by watercolor washes and brushstrokes; Demure is inspired by etchings and impressions in metal, glass, or clay; and Needle & Thread showcases a variety of stitching techniques, capitalizing on the resurgence of traditional crafts such as crocheting and cross-stitching.

“The latest Contour offerings continue to elevate this exceptional LVT line with versatile options that allow designers to test the limits of their creativity,” remarked Sonia Serrao, Tarkett North America’s senior director of brand marketing. “Our new Contour campaign invites customers to ‘design outside the lines’ and we’re excited to see all the imaginative ways designers shatter creative boundaries, either with the standard line or by putting their own signature touches on these designs.”

Both new collections are exclusively available on Tarkett’s premium Contour LVT, which boasts superior durability and protection. Contour’s construction layers are all engineered for performance: its 32-mil wear layer resists indentations in high-traffic areas, fiberglass improves dimensional stability, and the balancing layer avoids curling and doming. Topping it all off is Tarkett Techtonic, a patented polyurethane coating that provides superior scratch, scuff, stain, and abrasion resistance.

    Key attributes of Contour include:

Durability: Techtonic and 32-mil wear layers provide high resistance with no scratch whitening.
Ease of Installation: RollSmart roll-on adhesive dries in as little as 15 minutes, allowing for immediate occupancy.
Healthy Materials: Free of orthophthalates and all six classes of hazardous compounds as established by the Green Science Policy Institute. Part of the ReStart take-back and recycling initiative.
Made in USA: Designed and manufactured in Florence, Alabama; Buy American Act Compliant.

Contour LVT not only offers Tarkett’s broadest collection of distinctive wood, stone, and abstract graphics, but it also provides countless customizing options. Tailored by Tarkett offers a full range of design services, including the Carpet & LVT Studio online visualizer and Designer on Demand rendering service. Tarkett’s IMAGINATIONS program offers intricate bespoke insets such as brand logos, school mascots, humorous forms, and useful wayfinding. Customers can recolor any digitally produced design by contacting their local Tarkett sales agent.
