United Felts, a Vortex Company and the industry’s leading maker of trenchless rehabilitation liners, has announced a complete rebranding of their groundbreaking CIPP (Cured-in-Place Pipe) technology for potable water applications. Formerly known as CIPP H2O, the product will now be sold as UnitedBLUE, which is specifically intended for watermain renewal. This redesign follows the successful launch of the Vortex Water division, which is focused to addressing the serious challenges posed by aging water infrastructure around the world.
Mike Vellano, CEO and Founder of Vortex Companies, stressed the strategic importance of this transition: “Over the last decade, Vortex has set the standard for sewer system rehabilitation around the world.” We are now bringing that same dedication to innovation and excellence to the potable water market across North America. With a portfolio of proven, NSF-certified products and the industry’s most skilled watermain rehabilitation team, UnitedBLUE will be the Vortex Water system’s flagship solution.”
The branding emphasizes UnitedBLUE’s continued evolution and improved performance in satisfying the growing demand for dependable, cost-effective potable water main restoration services. North America’s aging infrastructure requires trenchless solutions that fulfill rigorous standards, and UnitedBLUE offers the most recent breakthrough in CIPP liners for potable water. The product, created in close collaboration with United Felts, embodies decades of experience in liner design and manufacturing.
This strategic rebranding is only in name; UnitedBLUE is similar to CIPP H2O in all technical and functional aspects. United Felts consistently manufactures both iterations using similar raw materials, standardized production procedures, and tight quality standards. UnitedBLUE has NSF-61 and BNQ certifications and is fully approved for use in the rehabilitation of potable water conveyance, distribution, and transmission systems. Product performance parameters, installation techniques, and conformance to applicable standards remain unaltered.
“The transition to UnitedBLUE not only signals the product’s growth and innovation but also emphasizes that this is an American-made solution, produced to the highest standards and readily available to the market.,” tweeted Matt Timberlake, president of United Felts. “With over one million feet installed, it’s already recognized as one of the leading potable water relining solutions in the industry.”
UnitedBLUE is part of a comprehensive water system solution developed by Vortex Water (a division of Vortex Companies) to reline leaking watermains, reinstate services, and reconnect to existing infrastructure—utilizing an all-American-made suite of products that includes UnitedBLUE, fittings, and restraint joints.
Cedric Bergeron, Senior Vice President of Vortex Water, concluded: “Across the country, millions of gallons of water are lost every day due to failures in old water infrastructure. The need for effective, economical, and minimally disruptive solutions has never been greater. Our trenchless solution, anchored by UnitedBLUE, provides a speedier, less invasive alternative to traditional pipe repair, assisting communities in confronting this challenge head on.”
