Bosch Adds Rebar Cutter, Pencil Vibrator, Moisture Meters, and Radar Scanner for Pros

Bosch Power Tools, based in Mount Prospect, Illinois, has added seven tools for measuring, detection, and concrete work, expanding its reach into specialized jobsite tasks.

For concrete work, the PRO 18V Rebar Cutter (GBC18V-32) cuts #5 rebar in two seconds and handles rebar up to #10 (1-1/4 in.) with a tungsten carbide-tipped cold-cutting blade. The PRO 18V Pencil Vibrator (GVC18V-25-120D) delivers up to 12,700 vibrations per minute through a 1-inch head on a 4-foot whip and carries an IPX4 rating.

For moisture testing, Bosch adds the PRO Pin-Type Moisture Meter (GMP1-13) and the PRO Pinless Moisture Meter (GMM1-15). Both include settings for 37 wood types and 10 building materials and carry IP65 ratings.

The EXPERT 18V Wall/Floor Scanner with Radar (D-TECT18V-200-17C) detects studs, metals, water-filled plastic pipes, and live wires up to 7-1/2 inches deep. The EXPERT True RMS Digital Multimeter (EXDM600-17) and EXPERT True RMS Clamp Meter (EXMC600-17) round out the electrical and HVAC diagnostics lineup.

“As we grow the Bosch portfolio, we’re looking at where professionals need more from their tools and finding new ways to support the work they do every day,” said Philipp Gosau, Director of Product Management for Bosch Power Tools North America. “From detecting what’s behind a surface to cutting rebar and consolidating concrete, we’re addressing more of the specialized tasks that can make a difference in how work gets done.”
