Westlake Royal Building Products is adding four gable vents to its Mid-America line, pairing attic airflow with faster installation for pros.
The surface-mount design sits flat against the wall, so installers working on flat surfaces no longer need a siding pocket. The vents still offer a large siding pocket where needed, along with a high vent-free area and architectural trim. The face and back come apart for installation, then lock together once the vent is fully installed.
A molded-in screen helps keep insects and debris out, and a rain baffle guards against water intrusion. The vents work with engineered wood, fiber cement, vinyl, stucco, wood, shake, metal and brick cladding.
“Our new gable vents offer the attic ventilation pros expect from a gable vent, while also providing simpler installation to keep crews moving,” said Steve Booz, vice president of marketing for Westlake Royal Building Products. “Plus, with several shapes and Mid-America’s extensive color selection, it’s easy to add architectural detail for a stylish look.”
Four shapes are offered: a 14×14 square, a 14×20 rectangle, a 20×26 rectangle and a 22-inch octagon. Color choices include 20 standard SolidThru colors plus 250 custom colors.
